Betting the Monday night NFL odds: Minnesota marches into Seattle as a live underdog | News Article by bestonlinesportsbooks.com

Monday Night Football has a monster matchup on tap in Week 13 of the NFL season, with the Minnesota Vikings visiting the Seattle Seahawks.

Sportsbook reviews are dealing Seattle as a 3-point home favorite in this battle between two of the NFC’s best. If you’re betting the NFL odds for Vikings at Seahawks, here are some angles and edges to factor into your wagers Monday night.

Ups and downs
The Vikings have had a tough time putting all the puzzle pieces together this season. Minnesota opened the season with the offense dragging its toes, but the defense picked up the slack, allowing only 15.5 points per game through the first six games of the schedule.

But, when the offense finally started to come around, the stop unit slipped up. While the Vikes were averaging almost 28 points per game over their last five outings, they were allowing 22.4 points against. That’s equalled out to a 6-1 SU record the past seven games but bettors haven’t seen as much success, with a 4-3 ATS mark in that span.

This Vikings team, which is coming off the bye week before heading to Seattle, could be extremely dangerous if it can put both sides of the ball together. The week off will get top receiver Adam Thielen back on the field after missing time and being slowed by a hamstring injury.

Bird of prey
Led by MVP candidate Russell Wilson, the Seahawks bring a four-game winning streak into Monday night and have lost just one game since September 29. But while that red-hot run is impressive, Seattle isn’t exactly blowing teams away, like the Ravens or rival 49ers.

Seattle has won by a touchdown or less in five of its last six victories, and it’s most recent win at Philadelphia came by eight points this past Sunday. The Seahawks were even pulled into tight games against the likes of Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Cleveland, and got stomped by Baltimore 30-16 at home back in Week 7.

CenturyLink Field will be rocking on Monday night and still remains one of the loudest venues in the NFL, but that home-field edge seems to be overvalued in the eyes of bettors. Seattle is just 1-4 ATS at home this season, with the defense surrendering 29.2 points against per game in CenturyLink compared to only 19.5 points against on the road.

Total time
The Over/Under total for Monday Night Football opened at 49 points and has stayed relatively still since opening late Sunday evening.

The Seahawks enter Week 13 with a 6-5 Over/Under record on the year, including a 3-2 O/U mark at home. The Vikings bring an identical 6-5 Over/Under count to Seattle, with a 3-3 O/U record as a visitor.

These teams have both heavily leaned to the Under in their recent Monday Night Football appearances but have played Over the total in five of their last six matchup in CenturyLink Field.
