Breaking down next year’s Big Game winner: Super Bowl LIII futures odds

The confetti has yet to fly over U.S. Bank Stadium, the host of Super Bowl LII, but you can already get action down on next year’s Big Game with one of our list of sportsbooks. Here’s a quick breakdown of the futures favorites, underdogs with bite, and some live long shots to win Super Bowl LIII.
Favorites
New England Patriots +500
Win or lose on Super Sunday, New England will once again be the front runner to win the AFC and Super Bowl LIII. Tom Brady has said numerous times he wants to play until he’s old and gray, and with a big marketing push around his lifestyle and TB12 system, you can count on Brady being back under center for the Patriots. If you’re looking for a reason to fade New England next season, look to the turnover in coaching staff with both offensive and defensive coordinators leaving Foxborough.
Philadelphia Eagles +1,000
Philadelphia is a 4.5-point underdog against the mighty Patriots – despite having a backup quarterback under center Sunday. With No. 1 passer Carson Wentz back in action in 2018, the Eagles are deserving front runners to represent the NFC in the Big Game. Philly will have a tougher schedule next season and a big target on its back, after catching many foes by surprise this past season.
Underdogs with bite
Atlanta Falcons +2,000
The Super Bowl hangover was very real for the Falcons in 2017. Atlanta struggled to play at the same level and desperately missing departed offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. The Falcons, however, still made the playoffs and seemed to find their form in the final quarter of the schedule. Atlanta has a challenging slate of games, with tough divisional rivals and the AFC North on tap in 2018.
Los Angeles Rams +2,000
The Rams have everything in place to make a run at the Super Bowl in 2018. Not only are they loaded with young talent on both sides of the ball, and boast one of the most promising head coaches in the league, but they also got a taste of playoff humility this postseason, losing to Atlanta in the Wild Card Round. That experience could be the missing ingredient for Los Angeles entering next season.
Live long shots
Denver Broncos +4,000
The defense is still solid at Mile High and if the Broncos can answer questions at quarterback, by bringing in a proven winner (Kirk Cousins maybe?) this could get Denver back on top of the AFC West. The division has lost some teeth with the Chiefs’ plans unknown, the Raiders on the slide, and the Chargers always up in the air. This stop unit has beaten Brady before, and that’s what they’ll have to do to crack the Super Bowl.
Tennessee Titans +5,000
The Titans kind of fell short of expectations in the AFC South this season and still made the playoffs, giving the Patriots a go for about five minutes in the Divisional Round. Tennessee has a surplus of options on offense and now with a new coaching crew in place in Music City, the defense could really be something special. This pass rush totaled 47 sacks in 2017, fifth most in the NFL, and some improvements in the secondary will make Tennessee a very live long shot in 2018.
