Michigan State Spartans vs. Ohio State Buckeyes | News Article by

Michigan State’s only loss came to the hands of the Boilermakers, but is that worth diving into? The lines set at Ohio State -18.5 and game total at 68.5 – oddsmakers are expecting Ohio State’s high-powered offense led by CJ Stroud to dominate the Spartan’s shaky pass defense.

Kenneth Walker and the Michigan State offense will give the Buckeye defense a run for their money. Buckeye faithful will lean on their big defensive line led by Jerron Cage to keep Walker under control and force Payton Thorne into uncomfortable third-and-long passing situations.

Ohio State leads the Big Ten in sacks yet didn’t record one against Purdue last week. Michigan State will be taking plays out of the Boilermaker playbook and rely on short slants and quick passes if Walker’s not able to get going.

On the other side, Ohio State will rely on what got them to where they are now: give CJ Stroud time in the pocket and let him go through his progressions. OSU’s wide receivers are some of the best in the country and they’ll be looking to make an impact early and often against the Spartan secondary.

The Horseshoe will be loud, the Big Ten fans will be rowdy, and points will be scored. Will Kenneth Walker make enough of an impact to keep this game close? Or will the Buckeyes pick up where they left off and put on a passing clinic? Tune in Saturday at Noon! has a 2-star pick on this game.
