There are just two games remaining in the NFL regular season and plenty to sort out before the playoff kickoff, including those season-win totals bets you made way back in the summer before the schedule started.
A handful of NFL teams are teetering on their win totals heading into Week 16. Here’s a close look at some of those football teaser odds that will be decided in the final two games of the season.
The Cardinals came into 2019 with a season win total of five and current own a 4-9 record heading into Week 16. Arizona has remained competitive in Year 1 under head coach Kliff Kingsbury and No. 1 overall pick Kyler Murray has shown plenty of be excited about in the desert. The Cardinals, however, will have to go on the road and win at Seattle and Los Angeles if it wants to play Over this season win total.
Arizona did snap a six-game losing skid with a victory over the Cleveland Browns at home last weekend and could catch the Seahawks looking ahead to their big meeting with the San Francisco 49ers in the final week of the schedule.
The Cowboys entered the 2019 campaign with tempered expectations and a modest season win total of nine, which should have put Dallas in contention for the NFC East – alongside the Philadelphia Eagles, who were pegged with a win total of 9.5 victories.
Dallas is still fighting for the division title but would need to win at Philadelphia this Sunday and back home versus the Washington Redskins in Week 17 to just push with that win projection. The Cowboys big issue this season was stepping up in competition, going 1-6 SU versus opponents with a winning record this season.
Even with the loss of franchise quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers are challenging the Over for their season win total. Pittsburgh entered this year with a win total of nine but lost their star in Week 1 and had to lean on unproven backups to carry the offense. Luckily, head coach Mike Tomlin was able to squeeze just enough out of those second and third stringers to support one of the best defenses in the NFL.
Pittsburgh is fighting for a playoff spot via the AFC Wild Card and comes into Week 16’s matchup with the New York Jets at 8-6 on the season. Following that road game, the Steelers travel to Baltimore to play the rival Ravens – and depending on the Ravens’ motivation in Week 17, Pittsburgh could face a skeleton crew in Baltimore and go Over this win total.
Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs entered 2019 with a high season-win total of 10.5 and are just on the cusp of topping the number heading into Week 16 with a 10-4 record. Kansas City plays at Chicago this Sunday against a 7-7 Bears team also vying to top its season-win total of nine.
Kansas City hit a few bumps along the road this season, specifically dropping games with quarterback Patrick Mahomes was sidelined with injury. The Chiefs have Week 16 and a Week 17 finale versus the Los Angeles Chargers to cash in for those bettors who took the Over on their win total back in the summer.
