An AFC North matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals in Baltimore. The Ravens are going into the game as slight 3.5-point favorites.
It makes sense that the Ravens are going into this matchup as the favorites given their success and especially being that this game is being played on their home field.
Backing the Ravens odds even further is that the public has been all over their moneyline odds as well as their odds to cover the 3.5 points their way. On the moneyline, they’re looking at 62% of total bets and 51% of the handle.
As for the spread, it’s even more action on the Ravens with 62% of total bets and 81% of the money bet.
Looking at the trends going into this one, they do sit more in favor of the Bengals rather than Baltimore despite being the favorite. Looking at Cincinnati’s last three games as an underdog on the road between 3-4 points, they’ve gone 2-1 against the spread.
Overall in their last 12 games, they’ve gone 10-2 against the spread. They are also 6-1 ATS in their last seven games played on the road.
On the Baltimore side, things have not looked right in terms of their play ATS. While they’re 2-1-1 ATS, they’re only covering the spread by an average of 2.5 points. Since 2020, they’ve also been a favorite at home by 3-4 points six times and have gone an abysmal 2-4 ATS.
They also perform poorly when it comes to playing in Week 5 as they’ve gone 4-12 ATS in their last 16 Week 5 games. Going even further, they are 11-27-2 ATS in their last 40 games played in October.
Looking at the matchup trends, Cincinnati has dominated against the spread. Since 2014 in games played in Baltimore where the Ravens are favored, they have gone a strong 6-2 ATS. The Bengals straight up are 4-1 ATS in their last five games in Baltimore regardless of the spread.
In their last seven meetings, the road team has thriven going 5-2 against the spread.
Backing the Bengals coming out on top in this one even further than trends is that Baltimore’s secondary is the worst in the NFL right now letting up the most passing and receiving yards per game to opponents. They’ve already allowed three receivers to go for 150 receiving yards.
